With over 20 years of experience in Information and Communication Technologies R&D, product management, operations and business development, Lucia Gradinariu is recognized as thought leader and subject matter expert on Service Delivery Platforms and Frameworks, Next Gen Services Management and SOA based OSS/BSS, eTOM/ITIL alignment. She has earlier technical contributions in the areas of communications over IP, high availability platforms based on database and J2EE application server technologies, design and operations of large scale Internet services.
Lucia spent almost 3 years at CA as a senior strategist, leading the solution strategy for Service Providers market. She created CA Wily's value proposition for new generation of telecom services, by launching the concept of a Performance Enabler for SDPs, and developed a roadmap to address the opportunity created by telecom Service Management transformation to IT in alignment with company's EITM vision. She previously spent 8 years with Oracle in several senior positions, where she helped evolving Oracle's Wireless Middleware value proposition into a full Service Delivery Platform solution, recommended its tighter integration with Oracle's e-Business suite to support eTOM aligned processes, proposed and executed on key acquisitions to strengthen Oracle’s position in telecoms market. She created and led engineering teams in different organizations to fulfill their business plans and developed strategic partnerships with associated joint GTM plans. Lucia has also worked over 5 years leading and implementing multi-vendor projects that leveraged million dollars investments in new technologies to create and manage high speed Internet access to multimedia services across French research and academic institutions.
An innovative mind with the ability to transform ideas to reality, possessing excellent customer and partnership skills and a rich set of practical business experiences across Enterprises and Service Providers, Lucia helps Senior Executives in Business Development, Product Management and Marketing organizations gain Intellectual Property, create competitive products and solutions, define compelling industry and market value propositions, develop partnerships and co-opetition, plan for growth and improve their operational efficiency.
An Honors Electrical Engineering Graduate, Lucia has a MS degree in Electrical Engineering from Technical University of Iasi, Romania and a MS and PhD in Computer Sciences from Institut National des Sciences Appliquées de Lyon, France.
She is a frequent speaker at TeleManagement Forum events and Informa Service Delivery Platforms and IMS conferences and has published thought leadership articles around business models for the new generation of telecom services.
In her spare time, Lucia teaches Master Degree classes in Computer Science, advises college students on career paths in technology professions, studies basics of financial engineering, organizations psychology and management and enjoys traveling, skiing and mountain biking with her family.
